I love a seasonal date - whether it's with friends, my daughters, or my hunny bunny Jeff, planning a fun outing is something to look forward to. And when it comes to fall outings, there are so many things to choose from! Below are some ideas you can use to plan fun fall dates - and fashion ideas for each, courtesy of my most recent Fit Over 50 Magazine!

Date Night With Your Partner: Try a New Restaurant. Jeff and I love to try new restaurants, it's a great way to experience new foods, interiors and support small, local businesses. I keep up on new openings online then make a reservation and look forward to it! For my date nights, I like to focus on the accessories - layering different necklaces over a top you already own brings it new life! Focus on belts, jewelry, shoes, or even a scarf - all can make an outfit you already love and feel good in new and fun!

Day Date with Your Family: Apple Picking / Pumpkin Patch. Nothing says fall like apples and pumpkins! It's so fun to pick your own: the drive out is always pretty, and it builds up excitement as you get closer. Add some hot cider or hot chocolate, and the day is set! I like to look up recipes before I go, so I can keep the fun fall vibe going the next day, whether that's making an Apple Crumble or Pumpkin Soup! For these type of outings, I like to wear a casual outfit: think tall flat boots that makes walking on the uneven ground easier, jeans, and some layers, like a tee shirt with a button up over it so I can adjust to the temperature.

Girls Date: A Hike or Walk, Followed by a Potluck. An all-day gals outing is so fun to plan and prepare for, don't you think?! This fall, I am looking forward to planning a hike and a potluck with some of my best girl friends. We decide on a hiking path, and beforehand meet up at someone's house with a dish that we store in the fridge for later. It makes the hike even more enjoyable when you have a fun dinner ready to go after! It's the perfect time to break out new workout clothes such as leggings and a long flannel shirt, that you can wear for the hike and a cozy, casual dinner!

I hope these outings inspire you to "make a date" with your loved ones this fall! And for even more fall inspo, grab the latest issue of Fit Over 50 - I have fashion ideas, dozens of fall recipes, and workouts to help you get in shape for the holidays!!
