Three Ways To Harness The Power of Positivity This Year!

Happy 2024 everyone! I hope you are looking forward to this new year as a time to refresh your life... and if so, I would love for you to make positivity a part of it! Being positive has so many benefits, both physically and emotionally. According to the Mayo Clinic, people who embrace positive thinking have longer lifespans, lower rates of depression, better overall wellbeing and so much more - including reduced risk of death from cancer, cardiovascular disease and infections! 


Now that the benefits are clear, try these three tips I use to stay positive - they really work and will make you feel better! 

1 - Be kind to others. We never really know what is going on behind the scenes of other people's lives, and instead of being judgmental, let's all aim to be kind and thoughtful! This positive-leaning attitude can really make a difference in someone's day or even life. So next time you think of a kind word or gesture you can give out, do it! You and the recipient will both reap the positive benefits!

2 - Use affirmations. Reminders of what we can achieve and that we are on the right path helps us to keep going and feel great about ourselves. 3 - Try "Three Good Things." Every day before bed for at least one week, get out a journal or notebook and write down three positive things from that day. It is a simple yet effective way to help us see what is going right in our lives - plus it's been shown to improve happiness and mood for six months! 

Whether you replace negative words with positive ones, wake up and go for a walk to get the day started on a positive, healthy note, or simply remind yourself to laugh at life, we can all harness the power of positivity this year!
